Microscopy and Imaging Reagents
Immunofluorescence (IF), fluorescent immunocytochemistry (ICC) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) are techniques that combine the power of microscopy, imaging and antigen detection through antibody binding. BD Biosciences offers a comprehensive portfolio of high-quality monoclonal antibodies, second-step reagents, buffers, fixatives and antigen retrieval agents for the successful use of these techniques. Backed by our experience in fluorescence imaging and exclusive polymer dye technology, our reagents enable you to glean valuable insights on the anatomical localization and functional aspects of important immunological cell types and populations.
Find monoclonal antibodies and reagents for exceptional visualization of immune and other cells in situ.
Dyes compatible with IF, with greater sensitivity and resolution compared to traditional fluorescent dyes. |
Purified and fluorophore-conjugated antibodies for targets specific to different immune cell types. |
Affinity-purified monoclonal antibodies and secondary antibodies as well as detection and antigen retrieval reagents validated for IHC. |
Immunofluorescence Reagents
Take advantage of our fluorophores, which offer exceptional brightness due to our proprietary Sirigen polymer technology and are ideal for IF due to their dramatically increased extinction coefficient (25–100x compared to small molecule dyes). Due to their brightness, BD Horizon Brilliant™ Dyes provide greater sensitivity and resolution compared to traditional fluorescent dyes and enable easier multiplexing (up to 5-color imaging) and compatibility with traditional imaging fluorophores. We also offer a rainbow of nucleic acid dyes compatible with high-parameter immunofluorescence imaging for use with multiple laser lines.
Immunocytochemistry Reagents
Explore hundreds of purified and tagged antibodies for the immunocytochemical analysis of various immune cells and other important cellular targets. Our high-quality antibodies are tested specifically for fluorescent ICC and exploit our specialized dye chemistry, which targets the hinge region to minimize interference with antibody binding, to improve imaging capabilities compared to traditional dyes. The reagents are easy to multiplex for up to 5 colors due to their unique spectra. We also offer fixatives, buffers and secondary reagents for your successful ICC experiments.
Immunohistochemistry Reagents
Find high-quality primary and secondary antibodies for the immunohistochemical and immunopathological analysis of your precious tissue samples. Our affinity purified monoclonal antibodies are validated for IHC and performance analyzed in frozen, zinc-fixed and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples. Antigen retrieval reagents are also available to ensure accessibility to epitopes and antigen binding. Our specialized fluorescent dyes offer exceptional brightness and their minimal spectral overlap allow for multiplex detection of up to 5 colors.
Our History and Leadership in Microscopy and Imaging Reagents
Our History and Leadership in Microscopy and Imaging Reagents
Our microscopy and imaging reagents build on the more than 45 years of BD Biosciences’ expertise in high-quality antibody development and fluorescence imaging and use our specialized Sirigen polymer dye technology for increased brightness and sensitivity compared to traditional dyes.
Our BD Horizon Brilliant™ Polymer Dyes deliver brighter immunofluorescent reagents compared to conventional dyes with equivalent background—a breakthrough in the field that enables increased sensitivity. These dyes work with several tagged antibodies and extend the number of parameters that can be analyzed simultaneously in an imaging application. The exceptional brightness of our fluorescent dyes provides better signal resolution and their unique spectra allow for multiplexing when used in combination with the appropriate filter configuration.
Take advantage of our immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry protocols developed exclusively for these applications.
